| How to reach... | From Windhoek: Take the B1 until Rehoboth (the last petrol station before you reach Kuangukuangu is at Rehoboth). About 5 km after Rehoboth, turn right onto the C24 until you reach Nauchas. Turn right onto the D1275, which will take you over the Spreetshoogte pass. About 20 km further on, you will see, on your left, a fence saying "Barchan Dune": turn off. Here you take the private road to go to the guestfarm of Willem and Hannetjie (3km), who will welcome you and will show you where Kuangukuangu is located. You will then discover your own accommodation in Namibia. It takes approximately 3 hours to go to Kuangukuangu from Windhoek or from Swakopmund. |

An unusual Luxury Cabin for 2 persons only, in the heart of the desert, on your way to Sossusvlei dunes.
Situated in the peaceful solitude of an idyllic valley, on your way to Solitaire, Sesriem and Sossusvlei dunes, KuanguKuangu is the ideal place for travellers who seek tranquillity and intimacy. Nestled in a dune, KuanguKuangu makes it possible for its occupants to live in harmony with nature, at the same time offering them comfort, luxury, adventure and relaxation. The natural materials used for the construction of KuanguKuangu blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Combinations of vibrant earth tones and raw materials such as canvas, wood, stones, logs and sand in an essential wilderness mix to keep a sense of the old safaris, transcending the ephemeral nature of modern decor fashions to harmonise with the natural world.

Your own cabin in the midle of the desert - a grea
If you haven't been to Kuangukuangu during your stay in Namibia, better come back! This is the most amazing place we have visited: you are alone in an uncredible countryside, no tourist around you, just nature, and live in your nicely designed cabin. Sundown and sunrise from your bed every day; if you are luck zebras will come in front of the window and greet you!
You can stay on your own, or have your meals at the nearby farm (that is what we did; excellent food and meals!). There you can meet very nice Namibian people; they will host you in their house in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. They can even provide you with braai back, and you make your own barbecue at Kuangukuangu. We had a nice trek in the nearby mountains (no car needed: the mountains are just behind te cabin): from the top, you can see the first dunes!
Don't miss that place! It's on your way to Solitaire, Sesriem, Sossusvlei dunes.
